Joe Miale [Me-Ah-Lee], writer-director.

I saw the famed ‘Hudson Valley UFO’ as a kid growing up in New York. I learned to paint and ink during a decade of art classes, then studied film at NYU.

I co-created award-winning PSA campaigns (DoSomething.org, Participant Media), directing over 40 ads featuring Martin Sheen, Natalie Portman, Julia-Louis Dreyfus, Jonas Brothers, Rihanna, and many more.

My original viral short DECIBEL led to writing and directing the high-concept pilot GAMEWORLD for Machinima, along with Telly-winning short films for two blockbuster video games: HALF-LIFE and ASSASSIN’S CREED.

REVOLT is my first feature film. An original alien invasion thriller made on a small budget, called “a sturdy feature directing debut” by the LA Times, REVOLT was released in theaters in late 2017 and is out now everywhere.

I am currently developing new projects.
